All We Need is Love!
I would like to welcome you to my new website and wish you a loving and peaceful holiday season.
There is an Italian saying, “a Natale, siamo tutti piu’ buoni,” which means “at Christmas we all are nicer.” This is so true. During this time of the year, we all connect to the universal, collective concept of birth and the circle of life; celebrating the light of life and hope. The sense of being loved and loving your closest family and friends is felt so strongly. There is an extended, almost touchable feeling of love that surrounds us, lifts us, and eases the mutual connection and empathy we all share. We care to donate our love and attention; we donate gifts to express our gratitude and generosity.
But, this year, it feels different. Humanity is going through challenging times with wars, disasters, and misery all over. Despite it all, we move toward growth and progress—developing individual self-consciousness, achieving a higher level of understanding about human rights and needs, embracing diversity, and finding treasure by accepting different cultures and traditions. At the end of this year, we face dramatic events happening all around us that dissipate the values we built and defended. Humanity is falling into a deep and dark time of depression and destruction. We are invaded and blinded by strong rising feelings of separation, anger, hate, and envy. Our innate docile human nature which lends itself to fellowship and community is breaking down. We are drained by the terrifying fear that our own survival may be at risk. There is no space for empathy for the pain and suffering of others. We must understand this underlying threat to humanity for the sake of our children and our homeland, Earth.
What can we do? How can we possibly make a change? It is a very complex situation, and there are many answers. As a flower therapist and practitioner, I use a gentle approach to addressing these questions, and I invite and recommend each of you who read this article to try to help yourself and your loved ones with the flower essence of holly.
Holly blooms at exactly this time of year; perfectly on time and available to donate its powerful loving energy when we need it most. Holly opens our hearts and helps us to heal the negative feelings of hate, rage, jealousy, and envy. It allows us to develop our empathy and connects us to the source of universal love. Holly will let you get rid of emotional irritation, let you perceive your own feelings through a new lens, and perceive a deeper sense of generosity and comprehension toward others.
If everyone in the world were to seek out the powerful healing nature of holly, magic could happen. Only a significant mutual effort for the mutual goal of restoring peace and love in our hearts can heal us, and you can start here.
In his synthetic description of holly, Dr. Bach writes: “for those who are sometimes attacked by thoughts of such kind as jealousy, envy, revenge, suspicion. For the different forms of vexation. Within themselves, they may suffer much, often when there is no real cause for their unhappiness” (The Essential Writings of Dr. Edward Bach: The Twelve Healers).
All we need is love, and we all need holly! May love fill our hearts and stay in our whole being as an absolute primary value!
